Are there bugs all year round?
The presence of insects depends a lot on climatic conditions. In general, and due to their better adaptation, insects such as cockroaches and moths are more stable and can be found throughout the year. However, it is true that during the central winter months (November to February) they can have low activity. On the other hand, flying insects (mostly flies and mosquitoes) are more concentrated in spring and summer, extending into mild autumns and practically disappearing in winter.
How is the hygiene of my home related to the presence of insects?
If you consult Insectopedia, you will see that many insects are attracted to, feed on, or grow on food scraps, decaying matter, or fecal matter. Therefore, the presence of all these elements, although they do not in themselves create the presence of insects, stimulate the development and growth of their population. Consequently, house cleaning is key to controlling insects.
In addition to using insecticides to eliminate or prevent the presence of insects, what other basic measures can be taken at home?
Keep your house very clean. Try to eliminate possible food sources (crumbs, grease, etc.): Do not leave dishes or cutlery unwashed. Place food in airtight containers. If you have pets, treat them for fleas and ticks and keep their space clean. Use insecticides preventively but rationally. Control insects before they enter your home when you perceive a threat. Keep trash cans covered or use sturdy, tightly sealed bags. Try to eliminate containers that can accumulate water to avoid possible mosquito breeding sites.

The extract of these plants is used as an insecticidal active ingredient in the formula of some of our mosquito repellents. Other plants that contain substances with insecticidal activity of greater or lesser intensity against different types of insects are lavender, geranium, cedar…
What are the differences between the different insecticide systems?
Traps, such as roach or ant traps, or window fly traps, do not release any insecticides into the air. They are composed of baits, for example, an attractive food mixed with the insecticide in some cases or, in others, pheromones, which attract the insect to eat it and thus die with consumption.
Aerosols release large droplets of insecticide that soak the insect, causing the insecticide to quickly penetrate its cuticle and respiratory system, causing rapid death.
